Deviation Actions
Now we're getting into some real deal, bonafide controversy. This one scene gets a lot of scrutiny from many Bronies and while I intend to approach this objectively, odds are that I won't be "enlightening" everybody due to the stubbornness of some. I mean, people really dislike this scene and that's no joke. With that said, let's talk about "A Canterlot Wedding" Part 1's final scene.
The scene in question: Having seen faux-Cadence use a sort of spell on Shining Armor that seemed like mind control to her, Twilight attempts to expose the imposter during the mock-wedding so everyone will believe her. Giving into her accumulating frustrations and her tendency to wig out, Twilight accuses faux-Cadence of controlling her brother and being a monster. Faux-Cadence runs out crying (or rather she pretends to very convincingly) and Shining Armor reprimands Twilight for doing that to the love of his life who was helping to heal his migraines (or so she claimed). Twilight realizes what she had done (or rather what she think she did) as Shining Armor goes off to soothe faux-Cadence's feelings. Disappointed at the behavior their friend displayed, Apple Jack and the others leave the room with Celestia who says, "You have much to think about…" sternly. Twilight is left alone, upset at how she blew (or rather… well, you get the picture).
So what's the big deal? Well, the part where Mane Five leave Twilight disapprovingly is criticized as showing them as Out-Of-Character (or OOC) and it's claimed that if they were true friends, they would comfort Twilight who was left broken due to her brother's harsh words and not throw salt in her wounds. Hell, others interpret it as the Mane Five not wanting to be friends with Twilight anymore and Shining Armor is criticized too. And even with Celestia's bad rep. as it is (BTW, I friggin' hate Molestia/Trollestia/Tyrant), her words were seen in a harsh view.
I'm sorry but while your millage may vary, Shining Armor was naturally pissed over his sister making outrageous claims of the love of his life and making her cry (the migraines likely were clouding his judgement too). And if a friend of mine put on an act like Twilight's, I'd be disappointed at her/him and her/him being all sad wouldn't change things, they did a bad thing and that's that. Not that I wouldn't forgive them later but the damage was done. The five at least had the decency not to add fuel to the fire with any harsh words.
Celestia's words: "You have much to think about" means that she's disappointed with Twilight's behavior and she expected better of her. Much like stern parents upset at their child. Twilight's actions were uncalled for as far as they were concerned and she deserved a scolding like for Shining Armor. You can easily call the Mane Five "heartless" but all things considered, a true friend wouldn't be please by these kinds of actions. Friendship DOES NOT work that way. Period. I have friggin' Asperger's Syndrome and even I figured that out.

As for Twilight being "OOC," I saw it as her frustrations getting the best of her. First, her big brother gets married after hardly hearing about it, then, her foalsitter appears to quite a bitch and lastly, what she saw between them likely was the straw that broke the camel's back. It's not that I can't relate and sympathize with her period. I do but in the sense that she got too emotional for her own good and did something she shouldn't have. And really, I think we've all had those moments now and then...
But of course, I'm not expecting the naysayers to have an instant epiphany due to my "enlightening" words but I do ask you to take them into consideration, as there can be more than one way to interpret something.
Next time we'll finish things up with a few nitpicks people say. For now, feel free to comment.

Kaa And Kiara Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Peril In The Pride Lands
Simba laughed heartily as he scampered about the Jungle like the cute cub he was. He didn't know what he was going to find but knew that it felt so good to be free. Free from responsibilities and especially free to have fun. The precocious prince was eager for excitement when one look into the treetops made his heart sink in dread. His sprint slowed to a stop as he saw a panther fully cocooned by awfully familiar coils. The predator's eyes practically bulged out of their sockets as he was strangled...
Simba's eyes went wide themselves as horror and guilt both washed over him, the panther uttering what cou
A small recommendation
This journal is to give The Overly Optimistic Brony and his Tumblr blog more exposure. So to my watcher, I say, "check him out."
What's with Discord?
Some (such as this one) were actually asking why Discord wasn't different than how he was at the end of Keep Calm and Flutter On, all reformed and humble. Well, it's a simple fact of life: old habits die hard. After acting the way he is for so long, it would be hard for him to let go of his mannerisms and trolling way. He IS the (perhaps self-proclaimed) God of Chaos. Still, he is reformed in how he's not out to conquer Equestria (which he could do with literally a snap of his fingers) and how he helps Twilight and co. in his own Discord-y ways. Heck, one reasons he doesn't mention how he planted the seeds and all probably has to do with the
In Defense of A Canterlot Wedding Part 5
I'm back!
Let's talk about Chrysalis and her plan to take over Canterlot. One question people ask is why she couldn't have attacked the city flat-out and why the complicated plan she employed was needed.
First, let's look at the climax of ACW Part 2 where Cadence gives Shining Armor a power boost with her love magic, allowing him to cast his shield spell. Said shield expanded to not only engulf Canterlot but was also made to block out Chrysalis and the Changelings (a pretty clever move). Now it stands to reason that Queen Chrysalis saw it fit to do research on her future enemies and with the ability to shape shift, espionage was a cakewalk

You know, I did feel guilty blowing off your opinions on this whole scenario, but now I know for a FACT that I did the right thing! I'm just gonna state once again that in regards to Twilight's behavior during the wedding rehearsal, she most likely had no other option! She most likely couldn't have handled it any other way! Has that ever occurred to you?!
And I don't care what you say about Twilight's peers in that scene, because everything that occurs from that point on, even up to the point where Celestia is defeated and Twilight's friends are chewed out for not taking Twilight's concerns seriously, makes it 100% clear that they DID forget the lesson they learned in "Lesson Zero" about taking your friends' concerns seriously! They deserve ZERO sympathy for what they did here, and to say that a true friend wouldn't be pleased by the actions that Twilight did isn't exactly accurate. If I had been there when Twilight did it, I would NOT walk out on her, unless she told me to leave her alone, and even if I did have any doubts, I sure as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west would at LEAST give her accusations some consideration. Plus, it doesn't matter what you think on Twilight's peers finding out that she went missing later on (Most likely "How were they ever to know?" or "For all they care, Twilight may as well have stayed away."), because there's still a chance of them feeling guilty about it, even if it wasn't their fault. Bottom line is, Twilight's friends and mentor DESERVED what came to them after they walked out on poor Twilight. In my mind, anybody who defends the actions of Twilight's peers in this case is a fool, and you're one of those fools!
I hope you can think about all that, because right now, you're one of those bronies whose words on this situation leave me scarred with the horrible, heartbreaking images of the heartbreaking end of "A Canterlot Wedding: Part 1"! Good day, sir!
